December 2008 was Great!!

Wow... it's over.. i mean finally over!! No more holiday parties full of presents, food, drink & fun!! Kinda sad when you think about it...
I'm a BIG fan of the holidays, always have been! I over extend myself, say "YES" to (almost) every fiesta, lose sleep & wouldn't change it for the world!! I think my favorite part of the holidays is seeing the smiling faces of all my loved ones.
I understand the holidays are not for everyone. With all the festivities comes stress from all the holiday shopping a-holes & sadness when we start to think of our loved ones who have passed. This year was especially sad when I went to The Kellihers for Xmas Eve & didn't see my G-Dad K hovering around in the kitchen sneaking a piece of Dennis lamb before it was ready. I missed hearing his laughter & his old school jokes... they never got old. I am grateful that he is in a better place void of the pain he was suffering & watching over all of us! Luv you G-Dad!Miss you a lot!
I consider myself very lucky... my family works as a village... a village where everyone is welcomed & loved as one! I'd thank my Latina upbringing but my German side is the same way! So, i guess I've been extra blessed!!

* Grandparents, DeeDee & Papa host a Posada
* Christmas Eve @ The Kellihers
* Aunty Amy & Ellie stayed over just like the old days!!!
* Christmas Day Brunch with the In-laws
* Christmas Day Dinner with the Melchers
* 3rd Annual Holiday Fun with Friends, hosted this years @ The Kings Kastle
* Dinner @ Brewer's Art to celebrate Frank & Rebekah's nuptuals
